I'm wondering what the INFJ response is to this.
I live in CA and besides marijuana being legal and everyone doing that - I hear a lot about other drug usage.
I personally have never been drawn to experiment with drugs. I honestly dislike and even fear the thought of not being in control of my physical self, my feelings, my interactions, etc. I think it's much too vulnerable for me.

But I'm wondering if other INFJs share this same thought.

I've experimented with marijuana because I promised my friends I'd do it with them when I graduated university.

    I inhaled.

I probably didn't inhale properly when I did try. In hindsight, it was better that way.

I don't see any reason to experiment with drugs - at least not illegal drugs. I did drink (a lot) during depression phases, but now it's moderate to severely controlled intake.
What I do experiment with occasionally is (natural) product ingredients and supplements, but it's debatable whether they have any drug-like effects at all, even if they are supposed to be affecting the mood.

*I forgot about smokers. Cigarettes are still legal drugs after all. But I hate smoking and smokers beyond measure, the only exception to this rule being the clothing item of the same name.

I went through a drug experimentation phase, but I never did any "hard" drugs because my parents were both drug addicts.
It was all in good fun. I haven't done anything like that in quite sometime.. I have noticed that not a lot of INFJs seem to dabble in it, though..

Same. I don't do drugs. I don't even drink. (I occasionally have a drink, but it isn't my thing.) The main reason I stay sober is that I want to maintain control. Ultimately, I cannot depend on others to take care of me. I've also never needed drugs to have fun, or think deeply.

Most of my friends smoke pot. I have no problem with pot, and I'd rather have friends smoke pot casually than get drunk.

Yes, I have experimented with "soft drugs" and prescription drugs in order to try to get my anxiety disorder under control.

Party drugs? Don't care. Never have, never will.

Yeah, but I'm pretty careful with them. I've been a daily cannabis smoker for the better part of a decade though I've not smoked any since New Year's Day. Any other substances I've taken only very rarely, a few times a year at most really. I would make a distinction between taking drugs socially and taking them for reflective purposes though the line is blurry sometimes, if you'll pardon the pun. Set and setting is the most simple rule to keep in mind and I've been burned a couple of times when I have gotten cocky and taken something around people I didn't like/trust and those times have been very uncomfortable but, ultimately, no lasting damage was done. The main substances I'm still wary of are longer-lasting psychedelics. Four hours is fine but eight and twelve is a bit much and, in my mind, is to be treated more like a spiritual ritual than a recreational activity, not least because of the parts of the Self you may potentially manifest whilst under the influence.

No, but I have heard about stories when dropping acid. It'll make you feel like you're on a spaceship about to be launched into outer space. Where the room becomes vivid and you'll hear noises of the actual events unfolding. Or so I'm told.

They should legalize weed here in GA.

I did, sometimes taking bus rides on several different lines, like the Social Rebellion line, the I’m Bored line or the I’m Depressed line. Sometimes there were unscheduled stopovers in Crazytown. Crazytown isn’t a cool place. Nothing awesome ever happens to anyone in Crazytown. All that ever goes on there is that people have unlimited chances to lose important people and things because they are too happy, sad, mad, scared, or mixtures of those things. People with addictive personalities or who are creatures of habit are particularly susceptible to such unscheduled stopovers.

Same. I highly dislike smoking and unfortunately smokers. I am typically not a person who likes to judge others off the bat, but no way am I ever dating a person who smokes.

I talked to a guy on a dating app a year and a half ago for a week, didn’t know he smoked until a day before our date. When he told me he was a chronic smoker; I’ll be honest, I was highly disappointed. But I overlooked it and told myself that maybe it wouldn’t be so bad and gave the guy a chance.

Next evening, we met up and the smell.... eeesh. Kissed him and tasted like I kissed an ashtray. Nope nope nope, never again.

I don’t comprehend how people still smoke cigarettes in this time and age either. It not only smells like shit, but it’s shit for your health too. I don’t get it.

If you find the right blend many different types of pipe tobacco have an absolutely wonderful smell/taste. Cigarettes and cigars still smell/taste like an ashtray though. sorry.
