Well what do you think? The guy who uses social media to abuse and threaten celebs, strangers, co-workers, family, friends, even a kinder garden class, then gets hauled before the courts just to repeatedly say LOL, JKING, do they have the same claims to rights as those who use them without abusing them?

If you have to deserve it, then it stops being a right and becomes a privilege.

So rather than look at what they deserve, instead look at what is better for society and how to best preserve the rights of everybody. Some times we have to sacrifice the rights of an individual, not because they don't deserve rights, but because everyone else deserves to not be troubled by this individual.

Can't abuse a right. It is your right.

Threats are not protected speech under the law with limited exceptions. Stephen Colbert physically threatened Google CEO Larry Page, but was overwhelmingly clear that it was non-serious.

A true threat is a threatening communication that can be prosecuted under the law. It is distinct from a threat that is made in jest. The U.S. Supreme Court has held that true threats are not protected under the U.S. Constitution based on three justifications: preventing fear, preventing the disruption that follows from that fear, and diminishing the likelihood that the threatened violence will occur. There is some concern that even satirical speech could be regarded as a "true threat" due to concern over terrorism.

You can do what you want unitl you learn otherwise or until someone teaches you otherwise.

Depends on the society and their value system. If a society still values social accountability, then there would be consequences for social destructive actions. However, in our world today, we have chosen to value individual rights about social accountability/responsibility. So, taking someone's rights has become a worse and more socially unacceptable crime than someone abusing that right. We've made free speech a paramount right, protected, and valued about social responsibility. Unless we balance rights with responsibility, we will keep allowing people to abuse their rights and get away with it.
