I need me some classical music for when I'm working! Has anyone got any classical albums they recommend I get my hands on?

What kind of work? If you don't want to answer that, what do you hope to get out of the music?

I love Vivaldi Four Seasons

This piece in particular:

I'd listen to that one especially if I was working on writing a paper.

Also, I recommend opening two tabs and listening to Corelli's La Follia on youtube approx. 17 seconds apart. ;)
It just sounds even lovlier and more intense.

(IDK why all of a sudden you can only post one vid at a time? it wasn't always like that..)

Anyway-Those are two of my favorite pieces of Classical so far.. Much like yourself, I'm still in need of recommendations.. so bravo for this thread!

I love Vivaldi's four seasons!

Zebraf301 I know a few seriously famous pieces like Swan Lake, the four seasons, syphomy no 9 and 5 and etc. I haven't listened to much classical music in my life, but I do like it. I find instrumental music relaxing and easy to listen to when im trying to work and think. Often times I find lyrics distracting in these situations.

Paganini's been a favorite of mine for a long time now:

I'd like to hear @TheDaringHatTrick ; 's classical music suggestions...I usually like her taste in music.

I don't tend to remember or take note of music I like otherwise i would give suggestions.

acd i reckon you should give me some of those french dance music suggestions!

Mozart, and Bach create a good pulse for thought. They're sortof famous for it. Chopin is very INFJ. I like Holst 'the planets'. There's tons of other stuff. I like a good french horn concerto.

Ok. I like Yelle. You should look up Yelle on youtube. She's basically the only one I know of.
But here are two songs and despite that I know she is talking about a safari disco club in the first one, it sounds wonderful and it isn't annoying.
(I think I like the second song better than the first, though.. IDK. just listnen. lol)
(I've already posted this vid on this forum before, but here it is again because I like it a real lot!)

(I really like dance music even though I cannot dance AT ALL...I still find it motivating...)

This is a good conductor of thought piece... The music is beautiful and subtle and not distracting..
I feel like my mind flows when listening to it.

gymnopédie and gnossienne, both by Erik Satie

I really like this guy:

I love the whole loud quiet loud thing and the bit at the end is pretty catchy… it might actually be my favorite piece of classical music.
The Italian composers are probably my favorite, with the Russians in second.

I also LOVE this at any time of the year:

The bit with the bells is grrrreat and the whole thing is just so bright and happy.

I don't have any specific recommendations since I only listen to classical music on Pandora, but I really like Dvorak, Mussorgsky (the Pictures at an Exhibition songs in particular), Mahler, and Prokofiev.
