Yeah, I've seen this guy on everything science. I like him. I agree with his opinion imo. I wish we would transfer to renewable energy. We have the means to do so. Why don't we?
I know, I know. The question's intent was to be more rhetorical. 
Greed is a strong word. If I worked for bp, I wouldn't want to lose my job either. No one would. The secret key to the lock is implementing a system where oil corporations keep their jobs and make more money in renewable energy resources. Not to slam oil companies imo. We're all in this together, we all live here, we need to figure this one out.

The problems we face are the results of pervasive, relentless corruption.
We need to do away with this system which we find ourselves bound to.
The gov't is making slaves of its own citizens. Money is simply a mechanism of control.
As it is, humanity must be awakened so that it may move to prevent a complete loss of freedom.

Money has value in concept alone, if the system that backs its value collapses, then your billions of dollars won't amount to shit.
