How to study when your an INFJ?

I'm sorry no one has given this a response!

Be passionate about what you're studying. It sounds simple... but it paves way to an incredible, unparalleled focus.

Caffeine tends to disrupt the creative mind, I've learned. Perhaps meditation and yoga might get you into the right frame of mind.

Ok, so i study all the time since im suppose to- career wise.. and i just randomly thought, how do infjs study academic subject effectively?

It is up for personal preference.

I just listen to orchestral, classic music or uplifting epic music while I work.

Also the pomodoro method (time management). That helps a lot with productivity and keep the effectiveness of concentration at a more consistent level.

The longer you work, the more your performance dwindles. To use this technique properly, one must stay away from electronics (computer/tablet/phone), TV, Books, anything distracting. Take a walk outside. Breathe.. take in some water. Eat a snack..

I go for 30 mins work to 5 min breaks.
If you're someone who loses focus easily, I suggest lessen the work duration and increase the break time to about 15 mins... You can look for more info about this online.

I'm usually up for a challenge, but my studying is struggling somewhat from lack of motivation. I think it's because I'm finding the content difficult - but more than that, I haven't connected enough with it to find it interesting. Interest makes all the difference, without that it can be so much of a chore. Maybe it's a syndrome of being in the sandwich year of a degree,- second year, IDK, in any case hopefully within the next 5 weeks I will find a way of pushing through the impasse. Better had! Oh yeah I'm doing distance learning and this can be a challenge in itself, especially when the material gets more complicated. It's the endless list of instructions and navigating around the website which can be tedious. Moan, moan. So my main strategy at the moment is to just try and get started, and once I've started....keep going.

I just bought some Rosemary oil to help with focus and concentration, hopefully that'll help me today!

Cognis Bush Flower Essence helps with concentration, study, retention and exams etc. It does work, I recommend it.

I currently have a full time academic course schedule and find that a 10 minute guided meditation (I use one particularly for focus before studying) really makes all the difference. There are several types of meditation, I like to use modern adaptations of a couple kinds (mindfulness, transcendental) that basically focus on clearing the mind of any clutter, thoughts, excitement, negative chemical reactions, just being. After doing this properly, I get a noticeable sensation in my brain. A good one, and I feel like my body finally releases the hormones other people may feel on a daily basis - it is calm and able to handle any situation with clarity. This is incredibly energizing (along with maybe a cup of matcha!), and with practice I am able to continue the meditation of just "being" for hours after the guided recording. I use this time to study, and since there are no other thoughts I am just doing the task at hand, nothing else. Meditation has changed my life. I do it every day now whenever I feel myself drifting too far gone. I would recommend the service I use (expectful.com) but it's specifically geared towards mothers, so that may or may not be for you. There are many other guided meditations online though!

I have found that a bit like @wayfarerAlien89 meditation helps me. I have tried this schedule before and it has literally saved me in times where I felt out of my depth and had a shortage of time. Actually this method really works for me so I should use it all the time.
Study for 50 mins, have 5 mins break, chant for 10 minutes...
then back to 50 minute study block. et. etc. It just helps me to keep my motivation and focus going. It's a bit like a study, meditation sandwich.

Honestly, i found some technics to study, to be more "productive" on the net.

But i guess, the best way for an INFJ to study is to know how to turn off your brain , how to rest it.
we have everything on our head to learn and go foward but we get tired so many times because we don't know how to protect ourself from tiredness.

I actually search how to do it.
LittleLissa is right.

In my school report from first grade my teacher wrote that when I am interested in something, I could talk about it animatedly and extensively -- and the other way around, like there is no balanced middle. I have been trying to work towards it slowly, veeeery slowly.
I would love to be more focused, but my thoughts often tend to drift off. Ever since my neighbours have become an infuriating bunch of arseholes (pardon the expression) I found it even hard to concentrate on a simple text, so I flooded my brain with Mozart's piano concertos, which doesn't seem to work quite as much as I'd hoped. So, how does meditation work? How do you turn off your brain? To me it seems an impossible comcept.

Your right, you can't really 'switch off' the brain, thoughts will keep popping up. However you can observe them and watch the thoughts popping up keeping focused on your breathing. Actually practicing breathing from the belly is a good place to start. See if you can find any guided breathing exercises on line. You want to breathe deeply and slowly (e.g. not shallow chest breathing). Once you 'get' this you can forget it again in the meditation.

.... It just takes a bit of practice but does get easier. (I'm no expert but I have found it like that for me. I can now meditate comfortably for 30 minutes... and it used to be 10) .Maybe you could start off with 10 minutes at a time (?) and work up from there. It helps with relaxation and getting out of the 'monkey' mind. Also I think this is so because you start to observe how your mind works, and by extension, how you can be more in control of your thoughts.

Convince yourself that you want to study...picture yourself studying at a particular place and then recreate the scene.

At least for maximum enjoyment.

I tend to take little breaks constantly. So I don't push myself to study all at once. Get a bit of information down little by little. I've also had some success with small group study sessions because nothing helps learning material like explaining it to someone else.

Although, I have a good memory so studying hasn't been a huge problem of mine.
