There isn't that much a president can do, but imo he's more of a pragmatist, than any sort of ideologue... so I think he will address basic/fundamental problems in ways that probably won't be too creative, but will most likely be effective.

Even though he is unpopular in the extreme, he isn't especially political. I hope his bulk in the White House will depoliticise at least some issues. Surely less politics is a healing prerequisite.

But his speeches sound as though he's afraid of change. This is the very definition of an ideologue; halt progress and keep society in its current state. Excuse me if I've missed something.

I suspect it's pragmatic rhetoric. His tone changed immediately after the election. I don't think he is very attached to much of what he says... unless it's something connected with him personally.

Prior to his flirting with politics, I doubt there would be much record of substance reflecting a pet ideology. When you look at someone like Clinton, she has been an activist since she was a student. Trump has just been busy with building and negotiating.

Firstly because this thread was stated to have been created to discuss America healing stories. There are numerous other threads for talking about Obamas failure to the American people who put their trust in them. As an admin, I'm sure you can both see and respect that.

Wolly. If you want to call someone a liar as you have called me several times now you can start with yourself. You said you didn't say something and I proved you said it.

I don't really have time right now to flip through all of them to see if it was you or not. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and say it was my mistake regarding you had used CNN as a source for saying fox news lied about something.

I'm starting to see exactly what Trump is saying. The media is absolutely lying about him and he's not putting up with it. He's also not taking crap from Congress. A new sheriff is in town.
 
The birds are singing so loudly outside this morning. It sounds like healing.

Speaking of America healing...Hillary was never pardoned. I wonder if that's more of a result of a bribe or dislike for the criminal in general. Looks like I am getting my picture after all.

No snow in Southern Ontario in January. 2 degrees C I am about 700 Km north of Indianapolis, or something like that. When I remember the winters of my childhood there was nothing like this, it was always cold. Wayne Gretzky's father ( used to build him backyard ice rinks when he was a child so he could shoot pucks, now thats almost impossible to do.

Climate change is real for a whole variety of reasons. One of the first things the Republicans did was take down all webpages relating to it on the whitehouse.gov site

Absurd to speculate such a thing.
What I know is fact right now, I am paying a little over 1000 dollars in taxes more this year than last. That is thanks to Obama's policies.
Let's see what Trump actually does.
