I know INFJs are known for being creative and artistic, but I'm curious, what specific forms of art do you all enjoy?

I am mostly into music -both making and listening to it. I also like acting -although I haven't had the opportunity to do it myself, I love studying it as an art form.

Art with subtle meaning. A strong message whether it's obvious, or hidden.
Or stuff that you have to come to your own individualistic conclusions about.
Just a few kinds of examples below:

Music. Writing, creating, recording, releasing. My music is more than music to me, they are other worlds, my worlds. Me in different bodies, experiencing different things. I have a lot of different projects though. It's definitely my biggest passion.

I work in the arts (visual and literary) and so does my husband (musician). I like too many mediums and genres to list.

I gravitate toward meaningful work, no matter the medium. I like dark work, and like stuff other people would call "sad". Not exclusively, but predominantly.

Chiara Bautista - one artist Persona posted- is a favorite illustrator. I love her work! :D

I'm not very into theater, tv, installation art or performance art. If audience participation is expected I'm outa there!
I am not into crime, horror, or intentionally unlikable protagonists in film and literature. Mystery - awesome, dystopian - awesome, but not killing, cruelty, or being a jerk for fun. Haha. I obsess over some video games, but not violent ones.

- 3D modeling
- Digital Arts
- Drawing
- Smithing
- Engraving
- Violin
- Photography
- Photogrammetry
- filming

I probably forgot a few, more simply said, I like making/shaping things. Material wise preferably digital, metal or wood.
Some of these I do not do much currently due to my art related study taking up my time, but I intend to do all of them more in the near future.

Some things I want to try my hand at are:
- Making Molds/Casting stuff
- Engraving shapes in metal to fill it up with a different color metal
- Stamping metal
- Layering/Bending/Twisting wood
- Wood Joinery
- RC FPV GoPro vids

I prefer to be primarily digital though.
Especially when still coming up with the ideas before I make it.
Likely if I want to make something I'll first make it digitally so I know what I'm doing when switching my interface to real life ;p

I do the same. First drafts are digital, and if needed, I switch formats for finals. Currently I am working on digital animation, so it will stay digital and I'm very happy with that.

Your whole list sounds really interesting, too. I can't sculpt, so I admire it so much in others. :D

I am particularly fond of narrative whether it be film, television, video games, or literature and especially mythology.

I love all kinds of art. I am open to viewing and consuming mostly any kind of art that speaks to me. Film, literature visual art, theatre, music. I enjoy producing visual art and the written word, mostly for myself. I have never published or shown my work to others. I have enclosed just a drawing of my hand from sketchbook. It is not that good, but you get the idea.View attachment img012.jpg

Watercolour painting, drawing, writing music and novels, photography, playing flute. I am going to try making paper flowers soon too. Oh, and I love sound engineering.

:) nice, I tried drawing my hands too for a school assignment. It's sooooo difficult, especially the fingers x) it's just never the right thickness or the shading just ain't right x) Usually though, I got 2 out of 5 fingers looking too thin or too thick compared to the others :( But it's still easier than drawing a face. there's something about the face that distorts ones perceived proportions until you see it on paper >.>

I like to write, draw, and play piano. I like to think about the artistic movements and the ways that the art represents them. I like watching good actors and once when I really enjoyed a performance of Goneril the actress noticed and she looked at me and winked at me when she bowed, it was awesome. I like modernist art, gothic sublime, romantic or classical art. I enjoy literary and genre fiction. I like to look into a work of art and imagine having a conversation with an artist about the ideas they expressed in there.

On a more serious note, I'm drawn to anything I consider to be aesthetically pleasing, emotionally stimulating, or intellectually challenging. Music, painting, games, film, photography, etc.

I think it's a very SJ or maybe SP thing to like 'pretty pictures'
I find these boring. I can appreciate a good painter, but these days, why not just take a photograph?!!
I like things which are interesting to the eye, and challenge the mind.
Some art I like is quite anarchic, and not stuff you'd hand in your house.
I did a series of paintings myself based on Francis Bacon's Figures at the base of a Crucifixion, and submitted them to an open art show, they got turned down, lol. I remember seeing the originals as a child at the Tate Gallery, and they disturbed me, that stayed with me I guess.

it has to be meaningful art, but you can find meaning in many everyday things. Reference Andy.

surrealism is definitely my favorite: reference Magritte or Bruvel. or deep real faces think of Rembrandt or even Hogarth. subjects equally light and dark can create wonder.
