Skyrim!

you have no idea (or maybe you do.... I don't know! D: ) how much I want this game. I keep watching clips of it on youtube like <3
what's it like? xD my friend is absolutely addicted to it XD
 
Been thinking of picking it up for PS3 but I kinda wanna get Battlefield 3 first. So many good games out this season I have to pace myself. lol.
 
It's a really, really good looking game. I love the dragons. I've been watching my brother play it for days.
 
It is an excellent game, I really wasn't expecting to enjoy it this much. I've probably got about 36 hours of play time in it already and have only recently finished opening up the entire map. Expect I've finished around 40% of the major quests, but I'm wasting a lot of time doing the random side missions too.

Pros:
- gameplay gets better with every game in the series
- can't cheat the leveling system as easily as with the previous two games
- story seems better than Oblivion, not really sure compared to Morrowind yet

Cons:
- dragons seem kinda dinky, I was killing them at like lvl 5
- wish they'd brought more of the VATS system from Fallout 3 over to this series
- will absolutely suck days of your life away
 
I got it about 3 days ago and already have 19 hours played. XD It's amazing.

I played that game. Not enough characters....Boring.......*Yawns*
 
I am getting my copy tomorrow! My Thanksgiving break - an entire week of no obligations - is next week. I expect to retreat into my cave and log many hours of Skyrim on my laptop :D Really, really can't wait! A friend let me play it on his xbox360 and it was like injecting massive amounts of bliss.
 
I think my favorite part thus-far is the way one can just go off in any direction, wandering and exploring. Inevitably I will stumble on a hidden cave, or fort, or dungeon which starts a nicely crafted event for me to play through. But even roaming the world at large, I could swear I was wandering through the wilds of Middle Earth or something. Love the dynamic weather, the soundtrack, the attention to detail in the natural surrounds, the way just about every item everywhere is interactive.... Did I mention I love this game? =)

We wait with breathless anticipation for our beloved leader to grace us with comments and this is what he says? A bolded comment about a VIDEO game??? OMG, I should of put this in the What the Hell thread....

Edit Edit: Hum....I do have an XBox at the house...I know weird huh...our brother left it....LOL Maybe I should see what all the fuss is about....didn't someone say it came on Xbox? *loses interest*

I love that game, I just wish I had the chance to play it more often.

Oh yes, I found myself on the receiving end of that.

It's been lots of fun so far -- is there another vampire quest?? I just need to get it working on linux now.
 
So tell me, did they get more than like 3 voice actors for this game? They pissed me off with the teasers of Liam Neeson and Patrick Stewart in previous titles only to be replaced a few minutes in by the same guy talking to the same guy in a shop owned by the same guy. In short...

They got rid of the one black guy that voiced every Redguard and made them sound like they were from the detroit ghettos rather than in a fantasy game.

It kind of looks like a baby sabertooth, but regardless, Isaac Newton would be pist if he saw that gif.

OMG really? I am so going to go try that now hahah....

I am still pretty newb in the game, restarted a few times just trying to find a character I really wanted to play...decided I didn't like the mage that I made really, but I am really loving the archery focus wood elf I just made, I will likely stick with her. I could play this game for a week straight and still not run out of things to do probably.
