INFJ Movies

The last movie that I watched that really stuck with me was Lord Of War. Its a good objective view of good and evil. What is good to some is evil to others. There is a quote in it that says something like "The key to survival is never going to war, even with yourself." or something like that. It made a lot of sense to me. Not going to spoil the ending but the person I wanted to win, did.
Other than that, I watch mostly absurd comedies. Monte Python, Cheech & Chong, etc. I really like Squidbillies and ATHF. Out of 45 movies, I only have 5 that arent comedy. Saving Private Ryan, Menace II Society, Full Metal Jacket, A River Runs Through It and Romeo + Juliet.

Ok, I didn't read this whole thread. But one of my favorite movies of all time is very INFJ in many ways. The main character is probably an INFJ/ENFJ hybrd. The mood of the movie (and several other characters) are so very INFJ. The other main character is definately INFJ--the ideal really. Katsumoto is a confident, focused personalilty. He is what we strive for. Ken Watanabe is us!! It's why I love the oriental films so much. So internal and personal. Here it is:

I think 'The Woman In Black' (based on the novel by Susan Hill) might be an example of an INFJ horror film, just 'cause it's a bit different in the way it's completely subtle and mostly implicit.
However, I'm not sure if it might be more INFP or INTJ ^^"
(I wonder if anyone else has seen/read this though)

'Happiness'. I wish I were kidding. It's the negative INFJ experience, much the same way 'Dancer in the Dark' is the negative INFP experience.

I've never seen Happiness, but Dancer in the dark is one of the most emotional movies for me

I'm so not good at Typing but...

Everything is Illuminated

<3!

I would rate as INFJ...
Edward Scissorhands
ET
AI
I'm not there
I also connected with Horton hears a Who :)

I couldn't agree more with you. Katsumoto is who I want to be. The depth, the autenticity, the inner power, I just loved it. And Tom Cruise is who I am. Sick of the western civilisation and searching for depth in my life. And I also stranded with the Eastern way of life!!

My all time favorite films:

- Star Wars
- Harry Potter
- Lord of the Rings
- Last Samourai
- Pride and Prejudice
- Mists of Avalon
- Painted Veil

Hmm for some reason I've never liked Cruise and skipped that movie. His characters are just too lost in the clouds of artificial heroics.

Yes I agree ... but not in the last samurai
You should watch it, it is one of the deepest movies I ever saw!

The all time INFJ movie: Bin-Jip (or 3-Iron). I can't believe this one hasn't been mentioned. If you haven't seen it yet: Watch it! A very emotional, very powerful movie. Two damaged people who find eachother in a movie that barely has dialogues in it. You can't get more INFJ than this. :)

Oh, yes, I love that movie.

Ok, I'll give this a try. I've never typed movies before, so I'm not sure about these. They might only be my personal favourites. Feel free to correct me.

Babel
Paris, je t'aime
Chocolat
The Cider House Rules
The Lake House
The Green Mile
Snow Falling On Cedars
The Shipping News
Simon Birch
The Bridges of Madison County
Out of Africa
Cold Mountain
Seabiscuit
The Horse Whisperer
The Schindler's List
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Scent of a Woman
The Constant Gardener
Vera Drake
The Reader

I have to agree with Morgan here Tamgochi. Like Cruise or not, The Last Samuri is a great movie--his best in my opinion. And this movie just drips INFJ. Ken Wantabe OWNS this film whenever he is one the screen. It's an action flick about self-discovery and redemption.

I'm bumping this cause I am watching The Last Samurai right now! If you haven't seen it, and you are INFJ, get to steppin'! I'm telling you it is about us. Come on over for popcorn Morgain!

My favorite movie is "I <3 Huckabees"
But I love existentialism!

I like that Japanese woman Taka, Katsumoto's sister...gentle, sensitive, sentimental, deep, fragile yet strong...

I'm not sure if these are "INFJ movies", but they are movies I enjoy and I'm an INFJ so..
Big Fish
Amelie
Billy Elliot
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
Garden State

Fucking adore that movie. Even if the whole thing was in French, it was beautiful. It represents INFJ's quite well, too. :D

Millers Crossing, The Searchers, Stranger than Paradise, The Secret of Roan Innish. Bladerunner.

The Painted Veil

You see the growth and maturation of this woman and the relationship she has with her husband in cholera-ridden 1930s China. Meanwhile, a cultural (communist) revolution is going on and, of course, there is much social (modern and historical) insight to draw on from that. This movie is an Ni/Fe roller coaster (of all good sorts).

I love it (and not just because it is set in China and has Edward Norton looking very handsome :D)

This film was a surprise. I really liked the progression of the relationship throughout the film.

The Golden Child. I figure the title character is INFJ. I love that film anyway :D

Good film. Loved it.

If it hasn't been mentioned already.

Dead poet society. Great movie and a philosophy I truly believe in.

I love robin Williams as an actor and this is just one of the many flims he is truly great in.

Oh and anther one that comes to mind is meet joe black.

Also, great films.

But Dances with Wolves will be in my heart forever. *moment of silence*

Nights in Rodanthe - this was about the relationship between two people which had nothing to do with anyone else. Wasn't about responsibility, other people's acceptance or approval, and it wasn't defined by anyone else but the two people involved.
