I relate it to spirituality, good or bad. I relate it to the water sign. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. It is something I have studied most of my life.
The woman could read a person without using cards: quite well. My prayers were that she see Jesus.

I did not know to note which card was in the inverse and have been working with the images and interpretations in LLewellyn and random sites on line....been contemplating the 9 of swords...my practice, while done almost every day for 30 mins yields little mystically. I have been at it of and on for years and very consistent since march

I generally don't read Celtic Cross spreads because I find it boxes me in too much. What do you make of the reading for yourself?
I found the specificity enthralling. The 4 of Swords as the "now card" reflects deep contemplation, the nine of wands as challenge reflects steadfast readiness to re-engage with the struggle, the fool as the past card has implications of individuation arising from non differentiation (and so much else), the 8 of pentacles as the immediate future calling me to engage in the work as skillfully as I am able, the goal card being the Queen of Wands indicates an evolution towards the flowering of my anima and then the 9 of swords in the 6th position is where I am in this point of my interpretation...it represents the dark night of the soul to me and reflects more of what I actually deal with in my practice...I have a hard time getting a lock on how it relates to the reading, the other cards and how to deal with it. I do find the whole thing quite meaningful.
