I love to learn, and I usually read, watch documentaries, have deep discussions with friends and so on a lot. But that part of me died a little when I started to date my boyfriend (I rather spend time with him than with a book or computer). We have been together almost a year now and my brain is so hungry for something new to learn about!! My problem is that I have a hard time finding something that blows my mind.

Tell me about your interests and subjects that you are wildly interested in?!? (I have been reading about brains, psychology, philosophy and animals a lot in the past)

Don't blame your boyfriend for this; that's very unfair. He isn't responsible for your intellectual fulfillment, and nor should he be. This is nothing to do with him but with the way you divide your time. Just give yourself some space to be alone with your thoughts and maybe a book.

I'm interested in a lot of things. My tastes are eclectic.

Not sure what I can suggest if you want your mind blowing, though, I have no idea what you're interested in. Adam Curtis documentaries are always pretty eye-opening, though.

I have a variety of subjects I get into on my spare time. I'm fascinated by psychology, nutrition, self-development, business management, urban economics, body language, literature, archetypes, the occult, history, nature, ancient cultures, religions, and recently, I've been trying to get a little more handy around the house to save up on costs/the trouble of calling someone in to do simple things for me.

I think the best way to expand your interests is to look for youtube channels or podcasts that cater to them. There's soooo many out there now.

I'm into MBTI lol! General interest in music, nutrition, technology, ghosts, UFO's, travel, other cultures, art, movies, and video games.

Now I wanna know: what movies? what games? what music? where have you traveled? where do you still want to go?

Oh, I didn't mean to blame it on him. I made a choice (a good one) that I wanted to spend my time with him, and lost something else on the way that I wanted to pick up now! Ofc there's only me to blame, if someone.

That's the point though, I don't want you to know much about what I'm interested in - I want something new. I will def check Adam Curtis documentaries out, if I haven't already seen them. Thanks!

Could you name a few Youtube Channels that you like? Doesn't matter which type of Channel it is as long as you find it amusing :)

If you're a generally reflective/introspective type, School of Life is a good start. It's the pet of the philosopher Alain de Botton, who also happens to have one of the most soothing voices going.

This would be more a moral philosophy angle.

Oh yeah, I've seen some of the videos there and I like them. Haven't been watching Youtube much (apart from some documentaries or things to have in the background while cooking), but I guess that it's never too late to start. I think I'm missing out on many great channels. I will watch more of his (their?) videos :) Thank you!

Reading her post, it doesn't really sound much like a complaint.
