What does your name mean?

Sneaky

Fair one, white wave (whatever that means lol). And apparently King Arthur’s mythological queen’s name.

Names are important and nominative determinism seems to be a real effect.

My surname means 'green river'... I don't know what that says about my line of work, though.

They also have real symbolic power. I recall when I was young my mum being adamant that I should change my surname from my father's (who was abusive) to her maiden name, to avoid any association with him or his family (who she also did not like).

I refused, because I was clear that it was my name, and therefore any honour or dishonour which would subsequently accrue to it would be entirely within my power. I would drag his name (my father's) from the gutter.

Fair, magical being

  • The name creates a dual nature in that you can be very generous and understanding, but you can also be so candid in your expression that you create misunderstanding.
  • You struggle with the requirement to soften your expression with tact and diplomacy and to consider the feelings of others.
  • Difficulty in accepting advice or admitting that you may have made a mistake causes you to appear to be stubborn and set in your ways.
  • Thus, you have too often created the wrong impression, and friendships have suffered.
  • This name does offer creative talent where there is the opportunity for ingenuity and originality.
  • You have a tendency, at times, to have too many ideas on the go, and thus your efforts are scattered and many things do not reach completion.
  • You are inclined to do to excess the things you like to do.
  • You have very intense feelings and find it difficult to maintain stability and happiness.
  • If you allowed it, temper and self-pity could be problems.
I was on that site once, where you could enter your name and it spit out this whole list of things next to the name's origin and meaning.
But don't ask me where I found it; it's been a while and I have no idea :tearsofjoy:

Edit: Found it :D here

First name is easy - it refers to Artemis is the Olympian goddess of the hunt, the moon, and chastity;

Last name - not a clue what it means, although there have been many guesses at it being "one who herds/leads the people"
