What Are You Listening To Right Now (Part 15)

SOB! Why did I listen to that song? Now I can't get rid of it.

But Ginny dear, why would you like to "get rid" of this incredibly awesomely awesome song?

Also, just saying: Debbie Harry is one of the coolest women on earth.

:drmonocle: Two words: Coyote Ugly.

No coyote is ugly! ;) (I know it's a reference to the film but I've never seen it, so I can't make the connection).

Basic rosy-eyed fanboy is not over yet though. This is another great Blondie song with a super cool Debbie Harry wearing a business suit.

I remember when I showed this song to my mom when I was a teenager. She thought I was listening to the devil’s music. Still good though, especially when working out :innocent:

My mom was paranoid about everything when I was a teenager. Movies, TV, drinking, drugs, sex, you name it. She watched me like a hawk.

One thing she never gave me any shit over, oddly enough, was my music. I mean, I listened to fucking Deicide and she was like "meh, as long as you don't watch that R-Rated movie that has people saying 'fuck' in it!" :tearsofjoy:

Hahahaha gotta love our moms!

RIP Vinnie Paul.

I've been a metal guy since at least my early teen years. Back then, I was 100% into guitar. All my musical heroes were guitarists. I knew the notes to guitar solos better than I knew most lyrics. Hell, I even attempted to play a little bit.

That being said, the first thing I noticed about Pantera wasn't Dimebag Darrell, as amazing as he was. Nope. It was his brother Vinnie, who had the hardest-hitting, most authoritative drum sound I'd ever heard. He could hold down a groove and force you to take notice like no other. I've still never heard anything else quite like it.

Wasn't he also the drummer for that band Hellyeah? :disappointed:

I once forgot and left my Ride the Lightning tape in the player in the car after I drove it. My mom actually listened to it when she had the car because when I took it out later it wasn't in the same spot I left it.
