Adult Indigo Characteristics

I think I might be an indigo child but I was born in the early 70' not the late 70's. The description is correct for me though. Also my upper chakras are very open compared to the lower chakras. I struggle to feel at home in the earth plane.I was interested in esoteric things like O.B.E from around age 9, had dreams which felt like O.B.E about flying. Felt the presence of ghosts etc. The description resonates, asking a lot of questions, jumping around in my thinking, being creative, being bright but not getting high grades etc. etc. etc.
I don't think the description is so general that it includes almost everyone. ^ These characteristics all together paint a picture that is specific and quite different. I also agree that this is not trying to claim being 'special', as much as recognising the pattern. I agree with the poster^ that indigo's are likely to struggle and lead difficult lives feeling like outliers. A definition of the traits is helpful, to them and in general because it describes an experience which is valid as much as any other.

I relate to this list, too, but I reject the idea that I am special, or that some people are special, while others are not. I've found much peace in acknowledging my insignificance. We are all like leaves... the same, even when unique.... and as easily replaced by new generations.

With all the "hype" about indigo children, I have taken notice that I do not hear about indigo adults. Which leads me to assume that they burn out upon adulthood.

It's probably the fluoride.

A lot of them have also returned Home.

T-Pain needs to "wake the hell up" and write a Blame it on the Alcohol remix, featuring Fluoride xD

On the spiritual plane; post 2012 - people are given a chance to raise their vibrations by waking up to their spiritual essence, living an organic and earth centered lifestyle, to give more than take and focusing on healing. Those who are waking up are choosing to raise their vibrations to match the new frequency and those who wishes to stay behind with all that was is splitting into two spiritual planes on earth. Time is speeding up due to the earth's increase in vibrational frequency and people can voluntarily choose to move higher in consciousness or not. Indigo's are leading the way.

Interesting. I remember reading that because of the magnetic pole reversal (around 2012) the earth was entering a higher vibrational frequency. Coincidentally, this was a year of many transformations for me; most importantly, my spiritual awakening.

I suppose I am an Indigo. Every single trait mentioned has been consistent.

Hmm, interesting thread. At first, I didn’t really put too much importance or truly didn’t look into these concepts due to a bit of skepticism and thought it was all mumbo jumbo I’ll admit— but once I read more about Indigo, Crystal, Rainbow children, Starseeds and Lightworkers; it is pretty interesting and I did identify a lot particularly with the concept of Starseeds. Not truly invested but keeping an open mind. A little eerie on how much I relate.

Nonetheless though, I believe all these labels are pretty much the same with similar traits/characteristics. Still fun and intriguing to read about each group.

Starseed Characteristics:

  • From a young age, you have had an inherent wisdom that usually comes later in life for other people.
  • You’ve been told you’re an old soul and you agree. You feel ancient to the core.
  • No matter where you are, you always have a feeling of homesickness. You know what home feels like, even if you can’t express it, and you know that your house is not it. This may even lead to depression in some cases.
  • Even as a child, you have always felt different, as though you are unique and others cannot understand you. You feel divided from the world — as if it is a constant battle of “them” vs. “you.”
  • You often feel morally superior to others, regardless of education or social stature.
  • Your sense of empathy is overwhelming.
  • You feel different from those around you, however, you have a natural inclination to relate to their struggles.
  • Your physical body is an enigma to doctors. It functions differently than everyone else’s and the medical world struggles to understand it. This may manifest itself in ways as small as a lower than average body temperature or inability to withstand heat.
  • You are incredibly intelligent, but bored easily by traditional academics.
  • You have had a paranormal or psychic experience. You may have seen a ghost, heard other’s thoughts, had dreams that became reality, etc.
  • You feel as though you have a purpose or mission to fulfill, but struggle to find what you want to do with your life.
  • You lack the passion or intrigue to truly devote yourself to one area and understand the banality of life.
  • The physical limitations of your body often frustrate you.
  • You feel as though you should be able to do more but are vexed by your restrictions. This is because Starseeds remember far more freedom in their physical form.
  • Your dreams are vivid and exceptional, and waking life never seems to measure up. Often, your dreams will seem other worldly — as though your mind has created a completely separate universe.
  • Others are often wary of you or feel uncomfortable in your presence. People instinctually know that you are different, but struggle to verbalize why. You may even feel isolated within your own family.
  • You have very few friends, but those who are seem to understand you without need of explanation.
  • Animals trust you and are naturally drawn to you. You understand them to the point that it feels as though you can communicate. The same is true for babies and small children. They find you fascinating and seem mesmerized in your presence.
  • You are interested in spirituality but see the divine beyond books and religion. You may not be able to put it into words, but you have a deep understanding that spirituality has always been an intrinsic part of you.
  • You are drawn to metaphysics and the science behind other worlds.
  • You can feel who people are without them ever saying a word. You see beyond the external façade and instinctually know when they are lying. You may seem rude in conversations because you know what the other person is going to say before they’ve even started. People think you are disinterested, when in reality you are frustrated by the pace of the conversation.
  • From a young age, you questioned the ways of society and still feel perplexed as to how other’s don’t see its mistakes.
  • Though your dreams are exceptional, you’ve always had trouble sleeping.
  • You have a natural ability to make others feel better – whether through medicine or your words. Strangers will often open up about their problems without even realizing it.
  • People’s first impression of you is often aloof or cold, however, once they get to know you, they consider you to be one of the most loving people that they know.
  • You avoid large crowds and find it hard to handle people in large doses — even friends. To you, people are overwhelming and their emotions and actions seem chaotic.
  • You have an ability to emotionally or spiritually grow much faster than those around you. Your sense of morality keeps you grounded, even when presented with emotions that are difficult for others to handle.

Meaning is precious.

Meaning is precious and we ought to be very careful about how we interact with the meaning of others. Cradle that meaning as if it were the child of a very dear friend.

However, sometimes you have to cradle what is clearly a potato in swaddling clothes.

You look into the eyes of your very dear friend, and see only love and care for their potato, and maybe you have to say 'hey you know this is a potato, right?'

And they'll say, 'are you calling my child a potato?'

And you'll say, 'well, yeah'

And then they cry and call you a dick.

But sometimes they give you a potato, and later it turns out just to be a very ugly and quiet child, because all children look like potatoes if you think about it.

Go on....

I have to say that this world is a special kind of hell to be one especially if one doesn't have all the ease that comes with being of the comfortable classes in a bullshit country like the states as I can't stand it anymore. Would be nice to have it to where one could just drop off the radar society wise for some years without having to worry about survival (bills, more bills, and more bills) and just get on with whatever purpose we've all been sent here to perform as going through the motions of life imposed by others is most cruel. Tired of how it takes its toll on our minds and bodies putting up with it all.
