The coming American civil war.

Also if you think I am the worse of what you will get from people who have different view points, we are all doomed.
I am calm, rational, thinking. If you can't put up with the way I come across I fear for you.l
You're not the worst, but you do nothing to deescalate the current climate. I don't think you are open to information that contradicts your view. I'm not saying that to offend you.

Sure. But i think we all know that's not going to happen.

There is virtually zero chance of a civil war, because the true zealots on either side of this conflict of ideas (i.e. people with an actual interest in taking violent physical action) are too few relative to the population. 1-2% of the country (if that) isn't nearly enough to move the needle.

Will the flame wars continue unabated? Sure. Comment sections, social media posts and yes, even forums are filled to the brim with village idiots who love to pat themselves on the back.

Who you calling an idiot?

I am coming. I will see you at the front.

No, you're not, wasn't that long ago you were wetting the bed over the prospect of North Korea starting WWIII. That obviously is a no go so you're now prattling on about a possible civil war. You're hyperbolic.
Thank you for your opinion. Of course I disagree with it.

I am absolutely open to new information and information that contradicts my view so long as it's based in reality, rational, logical etc...

The civil war has already started. Do you not keep up with the news?

I think a civil war requires states to be at war with one another, or the Federal govt to be at war with states. I think you're just referring to civil unrest. Maybe if things pan out the way you imagine they will, we will have martial law. But that's not civil war... Though the political climate is heated, most people aren't wanting to murder each other over it. @infinite dreams explains it well enough.

A guy shoots a Congressman and you think this is the start...or was it something else?
When did it begin exactly?
Who is fighting whom?
Are you ready to shoot some liberals?
Honestly, I would like to know what the answers to these questions are.

Civil wars often start with civil unrest. People take sides, eventually leading to states taking official or even obscure sides. I do not see it ending only getting worse and increasing.
Watch, as I will.

Scalise attack was 'to some degree self-inflicted' claims CBS's Scott Pelley

The deranged sickness of the left continues.

I am more concerned with what Donald Trump would do if he has a massive external shock to exploit. He's already exposed his authoritarian colours. If a tragedy like Manchester were ever to occur in USA, Donald Trump's administration could use this as cover to ram through extreme authoritarian policies. This is not new, think of the rise of Pinochet or Hurricane Katrina, both examples where right wing governments exploit the chaos to push through wildly pro corporate agendas.

Wow. I can't believe you said any of that.

Hurricane Sandy was a failure by Obama that directly impacted victims and increased their suffering. Republicans had to come in and try to get help to people because Obama failed so completely and utterly at it.
Then for you to turn around and suggest somehow Republicans were responsibly for that failure?

Donald Trump's administration is already creating chaos daily. From the resignation of Donald Trump's national security advisor, to the scandle surrounding his senior advisor Jared Kushner. No doubt many of these blunders are just the result of Trump's stupidity. But there is no doubt that some very clever people around him have used this chaos as cover to push through radical pro coperate policies.

I meant Hurricane Katrina. And sure, but that's irrelevant. Obama did not exploit the chaos to push pro corporate policies. By the way, I'm not an Obama fan. At all! He's a war criminal.

This trash ad comes from "mainstream" conservatives -- and its an example of why I would choose Trump over Pence any day. I do hate right-wing idealogues, just not enough to murder (although apparently they are slaughtered in droves)!? :|

And how is Pelosi involved?

Insane.

I was looking for an image or gif of typical Republicans, i.e. pastors, rednecks, and suits. Often found in one package, but I wanted comic appeal. But then I realized I wasn't being fair; the thought process matters, as some Republicans aren't simply backwards and brainwashed sheep. Cuban exiles:

I understand why they would vote Republican. Same for Libertarians. /tolerant
