"I'll Build a Stairway to Paradise" by Rufus Wainwright
Sometimes I'll listen to some 1930s stuff. I like "Little White Lies" by Annette Hanshaw and "Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries" by Leslie Hutchinson. Stuff like that because it's soft and never gets old.
And sometimes I listen to pop music that makes me giddy, but only sometimes.
I'm a "misery loves company" kind of guy. So I don't try to suppress my feelings but instead listen to songs written by people who may know how I feel and who might put their hand knowingly on my shoulder if they were there (funny... somebody says something along those lines in the top comments for the first song: "This song saved the life of the girl I love. She was going to commit suicide, but she heard it playing upstairs and heard the bit where he sings 'please don't go'.").
