Rules

Do:

Make generally on-topic, substantive and cleanly organized contributions to threads.

Minimize the following in your posts:

Chatspeak

Text in ALL CAPS, bright colors, or sizes larger than 3

Non-English language outside of the Writing and Languages section

Errors in spelling and grammar

Because members use a variety of browsers and forum layouts, standard formatting is encouraged.

Restrict discussion inappropriate for minors to the Mature Topics section.

Keep one and only one active account, unless given explicit permission by staff.

Abide by staff decisions and directives pertaining to individual cases, provided they do not conflict with the stated rules.

Don't:

Use the forum to disseminate indecent, obscene or pornographic material.

Use the forum to violate or conspire to violate United States federal law.

Attack or provoke another member or group of members by means of insult, ad hominem, rudeness or button-pushing.

Disturb the peace of the forum via hostile advancement of religious, political, ethnic, sexual or other agendas.

Violate privacy or compromise anonymity of other members without their permission.

Use the forum to advertise for personal gain.

Display vulgar or garish signatures, avatars or profile fields.

Policies

As a general rule guiding enforcement of those listed above: we moderate in order to promote coherence, legality and friendliness in discussion. Actions taken by staff seek to preserve all three of those qualities to the greatest possible degree. Consequently, items that disrupt coherence, compromise legality or poison the friendly atmosphere are to be edited, deleted or moved as necessary.

Moderating Users

Established users who repeatedly violate the rules will be administered infractions. See here (link) for the details of our system.

New Users

Users who have made fewer than 42 posts may be subject to more immediate consequences following rule violations. Those who begin by making questionable posts (be they inflammatory, spamming, off-topic or incoherent) will be placed in the "moderation bin"

Although the administrators and moderators of INFJs Forums will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this site, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of INFJs Forums, nor vBulletin Solutions, Inc. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

The owners of INFJs Forums reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any content item for any reason.
