i have a very good friend who i thought was an infj since we are so similiar (we even call each other twins) and i asked her to take the test,, turns out she's an isfp.

I'm in no way expert nor have enough knowledge about mbti types. But having read about isfps, it's like infj but on a more sensitive side.

Are we similar?

I think that if she took the test, then that version of ISFP isn't similar to INFJ ultimately. People who argue functions theory (which doesn't relate well to the test) will point out the two both share a so-called Se-Ni axis, but even so.

There is, however, a fact which is that any scales don't necessarily reveal the personality content at the *combinations/intersections* of the scales. And it's possible someone's most intensely defining characteristics are more at the intersection of two scales than at either one.
If you explain why you feel like twins, it's possible I can say what big 5/mbti factors define that area best.

A good example of this phenomenon is: sentimentality/emotionality sits at the intersection of Big 5 Agreeableness and Limbic. Someone may feel sentimentality/emotionality to be one of their strongest traits, but ultimately not feel super-high on Agreeableness.
Another example is that someone may not identify much with big 5 Openness/Intellect, because they view themselves as highly analytical people, but find themselves to be more pragmatically so. This would be compatible with sitting at various traits at the intersection of Conscientious-Openness/Intellect.

That's like saying we're 100% similar to rocks because we share electrons, protons, and neutrons
Well when the context is spelled out for you in such a simplistic way, the answer is quite simple. But yes, we are 100% like rocks in that way, does that offend you? Ugh I can't stand this PC culture!

Not overly similar, no. Some INFJs may be quite similar to some ISFPs.

Don't tell me you actually base people's types on what they get on an MBTI test! Oh dear :p

Oh and I'll also point out: when 2 people are hanging out, and close with each other, they tend to resemble each other more, so it can create the illusion of being the same type.

I've even felt similar to an ESFP that I was hanging out with, and it doesn't get too much more different from INFJ than ESFP does!!

Yeah, both introverted and feely. So about 50% similar.
